The name Calmére comes from the French words for calm (calme) and sea (mer). Calmere winery offers a serene location and stunning views of the bay. It has always been a dream of the family to one day open their own winery, and they where very excited to introduce Calmére Estate Winery to a whole new generation of wine consumers.
In 2016 the family purchased 100 acres in Carneros and a state-of-the-art winery. They had spent two years developing a brand that represents Calmere’s vision and captures the spirit of this unique property. The beautiful Calmére Estate Winery represents the next generation of Napa Valley and beautifully showcases the terroir of Carneros through Burgundian varietals like Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
