napa valley tasting rooms - find delicious wines

Napa Valley Tasting rooms are Unique, and small productine wines. There are so many world-renowned vineyards, why wouldn’t you want to visit napa valley tasting rooms? They make some of the best wines. Especially when so many of them add in extra amenities and services to make your stay all the sweeter.

If you’re looking for tasting rooms in Napa Valley, we will help you find some of the best of the best. Below are some recommendations suited to every kind of taste. From winery attractions to standalone collections, let’s explore what Napa Valley is best known for.

1881 napa

Named for the year it was founded, this Napa Valley landmark is a general store and tasting room experience both. This Victorian era home now serves as one of the Valley’s most beloved destinations, offering excellent views over the region. Take a tour through the wine history museum, exploring the history of region and wine-making worldwide. There’s a wide range of tasting experiences, too. Pair cool and hot AVAs, compare grapes from the valley and mountains, or taste the difference the tannins can make. An excellent opportunity to learn about the wine that makes the Valley.

artesa

No matter where you go in Napa Valley, it’s hard to miss the European inspiration that runs through the county. At Artesa, you can feel the Mediterranean feel in full force thanks to the Spanish decor style throughout. This tasting room offers a phenomenal view over the hills of Carneros and offers a good range. Artesa, which means “artisan” in Catalan, offers a wide range of Chardonnays and Pinots. There are also five single vineyard wines exclusively available here, and a wine pairing experience that includes lush Barcelonian dishes.

outland

If you’re looking for something of a more contemporary experience without the traditional stuffiness, try Outland. This stylish tasting room in downtown Napa has wines from Forlorn Hope, Farella, and POE. Guests are welcome to try a huge selection, including Trousseau, Pinot Noir, and Riesling. Meanwhile, the open joint space encourages conversation to go with your tasting. It’s one of the best places to learn about wine and share ideas with other guests, as well.

jcb tasting salon

The aesthetic at JCB Tasting Salon immediately makes it an easy and obvious choice for one of the best. Clearly created by someone with a deep love of wine, it combines history with luxury and style to great effect. It’s also a tasting room that has the distinct advantage of collecting and comparing two specific locations. As such, many of the tasting experiences here include both old world French bottles, as well as new Napa Valley grapes. It’s an exclusive spot, however, with each bottle being a limited edition, so it’s not for the more casual taster.

domaine chandon

Yountville is a city that is greatly enjoying a renaissance of gorgeous outdoor spaces and this tasting spot certainly counts. Amongst the more popular contemporary tasting areas of Napa. The Napa Valley Tasting Rooms here isn’t as exclusive as some, but it is extensive. You can enjoy a range of both still and sparkling wines in a range of spaces. Enjoy the open air of the terrace, the communal tables, or the privacy of the cabana. Whichever spot lets you get into your tasting experience as best as possible.

Alpha Omega Collective Downtown

Another spot that fits in the contemporary, hip vibe, but in a historic building just across from the lavish Archer hotel. This downtown Napa tasting room blends the timelessness the building with a more modern decor. As such, their tasting room offers a blended experience too. From Bordeaux-inspired bottes straight from Napa Valley’s own Alpha Omega to Spanish Perinets. The taste of the Meditterraean, French, and New World all mix nicely in this eclectic stop for the more experimental.

The makery

The first ever tasting room opened by trendy cult label, Prisoner Wine Company. The Makery is designed as an all-day space that celebrates artistry in general, not just winemaking. As such, there will be plenty of time to try the Goya-inspired Prisoner, and other local wines. But there is also the chance to explore the studios for a day-long experience of creativity. Meet local artisans, including painters and soap makers, and take a lesson with them. The Makery represents a tasting room meets art studio meets live venue, and is certainly a curious way to spend the day.

the village

Not a single tasting room, but a collection of nine different Napa Valley tasting rooms. The Village, situated at Vista Collina Resort, offers a trip throughout all of Wine Country. Grab a snack at Fivetown Grocery, explore the Food & Wine Center, or take a glass out to the 16,00 square-foot lawn. There you can enjoy wines from Trinitas Cellars, The Wine Foundry, Mi Sueno Winery and much more. If you plan on making a stop to only one of the tasting rooms in the Napa Valley, stop here.

Krupp Brothers Tasting Room

Just by the ever-lively Oxbow Market, Krupp Brothers’ tasting room in Downtown Napa offers a more intimate setting than most. Given its excellent position in-town, it is just as good for a casual stop-in as it is for a more involved sit-down. With a range include Bordeaux Blends, Chardonnays, Malbecs, Ports, Roses, and more available, there is plenty of variety to be had. The perfect spot for a nice rest with a few glasses during a busy day exploring downtown.

From popular stops to out-of-the-way gems, we hope you find the perfect taste of California’s wine country from the selection above. These are far from the only tasting rooms in Napa Valley, of course, just some of the best. Don’t be afraid to go exploring and to catch the ear of any local wine experts you might happen to meet. We have plenty of those here, after all, each with their own opinions. Whatever happens, you’re sure to find plenty of opportunities to enjoy a good glass of Napa Valley wine.
