Caldwell Vineyard & Winery

John Caldwell has built Caldwell Vineyards into what is arguably one of the greatest and most unique wine estates on earth, with 28 different clone-specific grape varieties. We also are one of the first U.S. wineries to operate our own in-house barrel cooperage – a luxury that only seven other wineries in the world enjoy.

John also worked with the French government to create and license the ENTAV-INRA clones for all of North America, which are now considered the industry standard in U.S. vineyards. Today, working side by side with his wife Joy and winemaker Marbue Marke, John Caldwell makes more than 23 wines for the Caldwell Signature Collection, Varietal Collection, Rocket Science and the Society of Smugglers.
